Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: July 15, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) describes activities that are prohibited on the Celonis platform. It supplements our Terms of Service and applies to every user, workspace and end-customer interaction.
1. Prohibited content
- Illegal content, including content that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights.
- Content that exploits or endangers minors.
- Hateful, harassing, defamatory, or violent content targeting individuals or groups.
- Sexual content depicting real or apparent minors, or non-consensual sexual content.
- Content that provides instructions for creating weapons, malware, or performing self-harm.
2. Prohibited behaviour
- Deceiving end users into believing they are talking to a human when they are not.
- Impersonating another person, brand, or organisation without authorisation.
- Sending unsolicited bulk messages (spam) or violating the ePrivacy Directive and applicable anti-spam laws.
- Automated scraping, credential stuffing, or bypassing rate limits and security controls.
- Using Celonis to build a competing AI service by exporting outputs at scale.
3. Regulated industries
Celonis is not certified for use cases that require specific regulatory frameworks (such as medical diagnosis, legally binding advice, high-risk credit scoring, or safety-critical control systems). You are responsible for evaluating whether the platform is appropriate for your context and for obtaining any required consents from your end users.
4. Security research
Responsible security research is welcome. Report vulnerabilities to [email protected]. Do not access or modify data that does not belong to you, disrupt the service, or publicly disclose issues before we have had a chance to fix them.
5. Enforcement
If we believe you are violating this AUP, we may — depending on severity — request remediation, throttle usage, suspend features, or terminate your workspace. Serious or repeated violations may be reported to the relevant authorities.
